Russian citizen tried to import hashish, naswar and pills
Brest customs has initiated criminal proceedings according to part 1 of the article 328-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus against a citizen of Russia. 28-year old Russian was following from Poland as a passenger of a "Mercedes-Benz" microbus via republican customs checkpoint "Warshawski Most".
During customs control a brown substance of plant origin was detected in the pocket of the jacket that person wore and also in the trousers in the travel bag. According to opinion of the expert from Brest regional Office of State Committee of forensic examinations the substance under research is a dangerous narcotic means hashish.
Apart from that, during customs control were detected 4 containers with a non-smoking tobacco product naswar, that is banned to trafficking on the Republic of Belarus territory in the personal belongings of the citizen, and over 65 pills of tramadol and diasepam, that could contain dangerous psycotropic substances - under the lining of the bag. Upon the medicines an expertise has been designated.
A person was arrested acting under the article 108 of the Code of Criminal Proceedings of the Republic of Belarus.
